In building inclusive and sustainable communities, community engagement and advocacy on behalf of communities forms a cornerstone of our work.

 

IFACE for instance worked on the implementation of the USAID-funded “Promoting Citizens’ Participation in Good Governance” Project where we worked to educate different citizens, including youth, women, and people living with disabilities on decentralisation, good governance, transparency, and accountability in service delivery. As part of the project, IFACE worked with communities to conduct an appraisal of local government performance and lobbied local government officials to improve the provision of basic social services.​
